I quit my job, bought a bicycle, waited for the Basque skies to clear, and set off from my hometown of Bilbao toward Japan. I was determined to connect both ends of the world, painting watercolors along the way. It was my first cycle tour ever—no experience, no training. A self-supported journey for almost two years that became Pigments Route.
