Chinese Ink
Oriental artistic tradition
Traditionally, Chinese artists prepared ink by grinding an inkstick on an inkstone with water. Today, high-quality bottled ink offers a more convenient alternative while preserving the same artistic tradition. I used traditional Chinese ink to paint one of the world’s most iconic landmarks on location: the Great Wall.
