Orange
The color of Albanian hospitality
During my journey through Albania, oranges became a symbol of the hospitality I experienced. Offered as a gesture of welcome, they seemed to be everywhere. I carried many in my panniers; once, I was even given a dozen simply for admiring a beautiful orange tree. I honored those acts of kindness by painting an Albanian orange in watercolor.
