Indigo

Dye for fishermen's clothing

Ondarroa is a fishing town, and indigo was traditionally used to dye fishermen’s clothing. This heritage is still celebrated during Zapato Azule (Blue Saturday), honoring the traditional blue attire of the arrantzales (Basque fishermen). I painted the town using authentic indigo pigment, echoing this deep-rooted tradition.
