Lavender​

Lavender itself does not produce a stable artist’s pigment, but it is nonetheless the color of Provence, found everywhere—even in ice cream! In my tent, I prepared a watercolor pan of a pigment called Lavande and painted a cluster of lavender, matching its natural hue.
